BRITISH EVENTING BRITISH OPEN

Ruth Edge gained her second British Open Championship title at this year's Festival of British Eventing presented by BETA. The 28-year-old Cumbrian rider, the 2004 Open Champion with Two Thyme, this year claimed the title with the relatively inexperienced Mayhem III

MARTIN COLLINS AND EHOA INTERMEDIATE CHAMPIONSHIP

OLIVER TOWNEND AND EDWARD NICHOLSON'S GREY FLINT CURTIS TAKE THIRD PLACE Reigning National Intermediate Champion Oliver Townend held on to his title taking the Martin Collins and EHOA Intermediate Championship for the second year running this time with ODT Landvision.

Australian rider Brook Staples made his first visit to Gatcombe in four years a winning one taking the Dodson and Horrell Novice Championship with DHI Vitesse at The Festival of British Eventing presented by BETA.

Buckinghamshire based Emanuelle Plee and Prince Vendeen won the coveted five-year-old section of The Burghley Loddon Young Event Horse Trials held at The Festival of British Eventing.
